Farewell... and Hello!

Last last Friday was our fearless leader G's last day. The graffiti and pillaging began almost immediately (Charlie took her executive chair).

On Wednesday, D'Anne joined our group and was an immediate hit. All I ask is that she stand next to Charlie just once a day for me. BLISS. It's like Gulliver's Travels, standing one of the giant people next to a Lilliputian... Doesn't she makes Charlie look like an overgrown 10-year-old, even more than usual?

Just. Couldn't. RESIST.

Without a doubt, there will be repercussions for this.
But it's WORTH IT!

Monday random

First of all,
H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y C H A R L I E !!
That's actually a full-sized cupcake on his head. Not mini, no photo retouch. Charlie's head IS the size of a small planet.

Here's my best Boss Fail impression. Still need to work on the Antitude.

And take note, all you would-be superheroes: CORNFLOWER BLUE is the color worn by serious men saving the world.

A perfect bloom

Another beautiful specimen from Mr. Williams' garden. This rose was half-unfurled this morning and the inner petals made the most beautiful Fibonacci-esque spiral pattern. A lovely vivid shade of cerise. Mmmm...

Mr. Williams, my hero

Look! Look what Mr. Williams made! A sweet little hollyhock lady wearing a purple feathered tea-party hat. Dreamy...

It reminds me of "Mary Poppins in the Park," the chapter where they meet the tiny family that lives under the dandelions. Our hollyhock lady is enjoying the shade under a perfect fairytale red rose from Johan, and more delicious sorbet roses from Mr. Williams. Lucky little lady...

Thumbs of Oppression, extra aggro on a rainy Monday

Today I voiced some concerns regarding HR policies, barriers to communication, and general morale issues in the group. This was the official response from management:

I knew I shoulda put my neck brace on first!
