Mr. Williams, my hero

Look! Look what Mr. Williams made! A sweet little hollyhock lady wearing a purple feathered tea-party hat. Dreamy...

It reminds me of "Mary Poppins in the Park," the chapter where they meet the tiny family that lives under the dandelions. Our hollyhock lady is enjoying the shade under a perfect fairytale red rose from Johan, and more delicious sorbet roses from Mr. Williams. Lucky little lady...

Thumbs of Oppression, extra aggro on a rainy Monday

Today I voiced some concerns regarding HR policies, barriers to communication, and general morale issues in the group. This was the official response from management:

I knew I shoulda put my neck brace on first!

Christmas and Bobbsey twins

Christmas came early to the bullpen! Our new 17" MacBook Pros arrived yesterday and we spent a lovely afternoon getting them all set up... The best reason for downtime ever, in my book.

Today Tavis and Charlie received the same wardrobe memo, right down to the shoes. Our handsome* marketing men...

*I do include Charlie under that adjective, for today only. He insists that all women find him attractive, and since it's Friday I'm feeling charitable. Charlie needs the phrase "legend in his own mind" explained to him, but I'll leave that to someone with a bit more patience and a better poker face than me.

Mr. Williams likes to make the ladies smile...

More divine roses to brighten an otherwise gloomy week. Everyone say "Thank you Mr. Williams~"!

PMS DingyU

Exhausted after a solid half hour of furious blipty-blooing, Charlie came over to our corner to relax. [Cue frantic cries of "Ew! Charlie! Stop touching our things with your socks!"]

However, I did take the opportunity to capture Charlie's infamous Pantone hue: PMS Dingy. It's not quite gray, oatmeal, or ivory. It's just... dingy. Enjoy--from a distance.

As a chaser to freshen your visual palate, so to speak, here's the bead ring I made last night. Mmm, colors...

Three Stooges

Boss Fail likes to earn his nickname by stealing my phone and taking random photos with it. This sometimes backfires, supplying me with prime source material with which to do this... Wheee! What's not to love?

Pressed and Distressed*

Pressed: Charlie came in this morning wearing a perfectly pressed button-down in navy blue cotton. I don't recall EVER seeing a sharper shirt on him, so it's most definitely a red letter day.

Distressed: Yet AGAIN, I received the same color memo as Charlie. In fact, I'm wearing a navy blue button-down shirt(dress). What is up? Apparently it was inevitable because I'm also wearing an olive cardi, and his plan A was an olive shirt. AUGH! I cannot deal with the possibility that our tastes or color sensibilities overlap in ANY WAY. This is the stuff of nightmares.

*This post edited by Charlie despite much kicking and protesting. He stood over my shoulder correcting me, so all facts have now been Charlie-approved. Who's the blogger here?!
