Palettes!

Color can be a very personal thing, and I noticed that some of my peeps here have quite rigidly defined palettes, completely distinct from each other. The following images represent Charlie, Anthony, Johan, and Sydney's colors. See if you can identify them.

WARNING: You will be banned forever from this blog if you aren't able to identify Charlie's palette. Because then clearly you just haven't been paying attention.

Charlie's funnies

Exhibit A: During the winter break, Charlie turned my desk into a coffee station. Frankly, this didn't even register on the prank scale given some of the shenanigans around here. I call this a thumbnail of a joke—just enough to show the intention. Boo...

Exhibit B: It's disturbing how much it amuses Charlie to do this, park so close that I can't get into my door. The joke's on him though, because I know he'll want to leave work before I do... He'll be torn between leaving and keeping me trapped. Backfire WIN!

A new discovery in the Charlie-verse

I thought we'd seen it all, but no. Today Charlie sports a radiating wrinkle, and like the plinkles and other phenomena that occur on his clothes, I have no idea how this comes about. Below is a sketch of the wrinkle (C wouldn't let me take a pic). 3 sharp lines (and a 4th faint one) meet perfectly at a single center point.

You just explain to me how this wrinkle could occur naturally.

Goodbye 2009!

We close 2009 on a high note: Charlie bought a new coat and I approve! I helped pick it, but that's just a detail... Tunic collar, tabbed shoulders, and a square silhouette—a great semi-structured look for our favorite victim of OCS (only child syndrome).

Also featured today is Charlie's artwork, proudly displayed on his cube wall. It looks like a mouse but it's actually intended to depict a gateway (www.2wire.com/index.php?p=461). Charlie claims to have won art prizes in his youth, but I'm still waiting to see proof.

I wrap up the images of 2009 with this, two expressions of hunger drawn during staff meeting just before lunch. Me, apple pie, and Charlie, Pacman-zilla devouring my pie and everything else in its path. Classic.
